Worms Ultimate Mayhem

Worms Ultimate Mayhem free pc game full version download is a series of turn-based computer games developed by British company Team17 Software. Players control a small platoon of earthworms across a deformable landscape, battling other computer- or player-controlled teams. The games feature bright and humorous cartoon-style animation and a varied arsenal of bizarre weapons.

The game, whose concept was devised by Andy Davidson,[1] was described by the Amiga gaming press as a cross between Cannon Fodder and Lemmings.[2] It is part of a wider genre of turn-based combat games in which each player controls characters who duel with projectile weapons; similar games include Scorched Earth and Gorillas.

Templar's Curse

To bear the Templar's Curse guarantees its wielders will end up in Hell when they fade from the mortal coil. The Templars have borne the curse through the generations, passing it down to their sons.[2]

Those who activate the curse are the only ones who see the world turn to Hell. To all others, it would seem only that their opponent is faster, stronger, and more capable…[2]

In the Templar's Curse, even horses gain the ability to ride faster and jump further.[2]

Activating the Templar's Curse puts the power of Hell at the one's disposal. Increasing speed and power, as well as granting new abilities beyond mortal men, it is a power to be reckoned with. But at the cost of one's life, and with Death lurking in the shadows… One must use it wisely.[2]

The Templar's Curse gauge is divided into three tiers. While the first will slowly refill automatically, the second and third will fill only when the curse begins to feel the lust of the battle. Should the gauge fill entirely, the curse will automatically activate.[2]

While in the curse, the souls of the damned and lost become visible. Purifying them and sending them to their final rest may yield benefits to those would seek redemption for their deeds.[2]

The cursed souls who fall in battle are instantly driven into the vision of Hell… where Death begins to stalk toward his claim. At this point, one must buy time with one's limited powers before one's partner comes to help, or Death will taste his victory.

The game will offer a Customization feature, which enables the player to equip any weapon and armor, that the character happens to come across on the battlefield, on the fly. The character's appearance, strength, and endurance will change accordingly to the pieces of equipment in use

Pro Evolution Soccer 2012

Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 (abbreviated to PES 2012 and known officially as World Soccer: Winning Eleven 2012 in Asia) is the eleventh edition in the Pro Evolution Soccer series developed and published by Konami with production assistance from the Blue Sky Team. Lionel Messi, who has been the cover star for the series since PES 2009, will be replaced by Cristiano Ronaldo,[3] while Shinji Kagawa replaces Messi as the cover star for the Japanese version. The US and Latin American cover will feature Santos player Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo

Like previous versions of the game, it will be exclusively licensed by UEFA to contain the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Super Cup competitions along with a license from CONMEBOL to feature the Copa Santander Libertadores. Referees' governing UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Super Cup matches will wear the official UEFA Champions League uniforms, which is a first for the series

On July 28, 2011, Konami confirmed that PES 2012 will be released for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows on October 14, 2011 in Europe and October 6, 2011 in Japan.[6] At Gamescom 2011 it was announced that the PlayStation Portable and PlayStation 2 versions will follow on October 28, 2011 and the Wii on November 4, 2011. The publisher has also confirmed that versions for Nintendo 3DS and iOS formats are also in development, with firm dates to follow.

There are two demos, both of which were released for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. The first is based on a preview build of the game and was released on August 24, 2011 for PlayStation 3 and PC,[7] though because of "issues on both sides" according to Jon Murphy, PES Team Leader, it was not released on the Xbox 360.[8] The second demo was released 14th September on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC
Gameplay

PES 2012's gameplay is primarily a refinement of PES 2011, with fewer big changes than the previous iteration but many smaller improvements and changes in areas such as artificial intelligence, speed, animation, and physics

Among the new features is the Teammate Control system, where a secondary player may be controlled, either during play, or at a set piece or throw-in. This allows players to be placed precisely, make runs, and shake off markers before calling for the ball. Manual and assisted versions of the feature are available for varying degrees of difficulty and control

Refereeing has been improved and includes a full implementation of the advantage rule, with the referee pulling back play for bookings after the ball goes out of play. The "catch-up bug", where defenders would catch dribbling attackers too easily, regardless of the attacker's pace, will be addressed. Gameplay is more fluid, with better response when controlling the ball,  and goalkeepers have been improved with new animations and generally more reliable goalkeeping performances

Artificial intelligence has been improved over previous PES games, for example AI players will play more thoughtfully when defending rather than simply applying pressure, and AI teammates will make more intelligent movement decisions

Western Shooter

Despite their popularity on the big screen, westerns have yet to make it big in the video game market--as of 2011, at least. The pickings are slim and they get even slimmer when a gamer wants their saloon shootout to be in 3D. The good news is that the setting does lend itself naturally to shooters and most games featuring the Wild West also put a revolver or rifle in the player's hands.

Red Dead Redemption
*

Developed by the same company behind "Grand Theft Auto," "Red Dead Redemption" is a western shooter that puts as much emphasis on the setting as it does on the action. Players can choose from a diverse arsenal of firearms and use them to shoot down bandits and federales, but if they want, they can instead spend their time roaming an open-end world. Along the way, they can collect desert herbs, tame wild horses, play poker in the saloon and chat with the locals. The 3D graphics are remarkably life-like and the cinematic cut scenes feel like they've come straight from a spaghetti western film.
Call of Jaurez: Bound in Blood
*

Players who want action in their western shooter will find plenty of it in "Call of Jaurez: Bound in Blood." The game features epic shootouts and tense one-on-one duals. Between the gunfights, players will also have to survive tough scenarios, such as a burning saloon and a white-water rafting ride. They can choose to play as either of the McCall brothers, each of whom has his own style and preferred weapons. Ray's a dual pistol-wielding maniac, and he charges straight into a fight. His brother Thomas prefers his long rifle and snipes his enemies down one by one.
Wild Arms 3
*

"Wild Arms 3" takes the western shooter and turns it into a turn-based role-playing game (RPG). Players control the fast-shooting Virginia, who's out to restore the world after it was transformed into a wasteland reminiscent of the American West. The world of "Wild Arms 3" is not the American West, however. It's a whole different landmass and monsters roam it looking for a fight. Although the battles are turn-based, "Wild Arms" doesn't forget its heritage and when it's the player's turn to shoot, his speed at firing and reloading will determine the damage of his attack.
Lead and Gold: Gangs of the Wild West
*

"Lead and Gold" is a pure multiplayer game. It does not feature a solo campaign. Players choose from four western archetypes, such as the cowboy and the deputy. Each archetype plays differently, some specializing in close-range combat while others are better at stealth and sniping. "Lead and Gold" emphasizes teamwork, and if the players stick close to each other, they grant one another special bonuses. Players can also revive downed teammates. The game offers a range of multiplayer modes, though none are mold-breaking. They include capture the flag and death match.

The Bard's Tale

The Bard's Tale (Tales of the Unknown: Volume I) is a fantasy role-playing video game created by Interplay Productions in 1985 and distributed by Electronic Arts.[1] It was designed and programmed by Michael Cranford.

Based loosely on traditional Dungeons and Dragons gameplay and inspired by the Wizardry computer games, The Bard's Tale was noteworthy for its unprecedented 3D graphics and animated character portraits.

It was originally released for the Apple II, and was also ported to the Commodore 64, Apple IIgs, ZX Spectrum, Amstrad CPC, Commodore Amiga, Atari ST, MS-DOS, Apple Macintosh, and NES platforms
Story

The following text from the box cover summarizes the premise:

Long ago, when magic still prevailed, the evil wizard Mangar the Dark threatened a small but harmonious country town called Skara Brae. Evil creatures oozed into Skara Brae and joined his shadow domain. Mangar froze the surrounding lands with a spell of Eternal Winter, totally isolating Skara Brae from any possible help. Then, one night the town militiamen all disappeared. The future of Skara Brae hung in the balance. And who was left to resist? Only a handful of unproven young Warriors, junior Magic Users, a couple of Bards barely old enough to drink, and some out of work Rogues. You are there. You are the leader of this ragtag group of freedom fighters. Luckily you have a Bard with you to sing your glories, if you survive. For this is the stuff of legends. And so the story begins...

The introduction depicts a bard sitting in a tavern. Between occasional sips from his mug, he strums a lute and sings:

The song I sing
Will tell the tale

of a cold and wintery day;

Of castle walls
And torchlit halls

And a price men had to pay.

When evil fled
And brave men bled

The Dark one came to stay,

'Til men of old
For blood and gold

Had rescued Skara Brae
The Bard's Tale is a straightforward "dungeon crawl". The objective is to gain experience and advance characters' skills through (mostly) random combat with enemies and monsters. This is done while exploring maze-like dungeons, solving occasional puzzles and riddles, and finding or buying better weapons and armor.

When beginning the game, the player may create up to six player characters, chosen from among the following classes: bard, hunter, monk, paladin, rogue, warrior, magician, and conjurer. The classes sorcerer and wizard were available to experienced conjurers and magicians. A typical well-balanced party might consist of a couple of fighters, a rogue, a bard, and a couple of magic users. On some platforms, the player could import previously created characters from Wizardry and/or Ultima III, which was somewhat revolutionary at the time.

The most important character was arguably the bard, whose magical songs functioned like long-lasting spells and affected the player's party in various ways—such as strengthening their armor, or increasing their attack speed, much like "buffs" in modern day MMORPGs. A number of obligatory puzzles in the game were unsolvable without the use of bard songs. Each bard song triggered corresponding music while he played (some classical, some original).

With only a map of the town of Skara Brae included on the box, it was usually necessary for players to use pencil and graph paper to make their own maps as they played through the game. In the first two games, each dungeon level was set on a fixed 22 by 22 grid.

Magic users were allowed to change classes permanently. The game manual describes a magic user who has mastered all spells from all four classes as "an Archmage, the most powerful being in the world of The Bard's Tale." However, Archmage status had no effect on gameplay other than simply having all spells available.

Casting one of the 85 magic user spells consisted of typing a four-letter code found only in the printed game manual, which perhaps helped limit piracy and contributed to the commercial success of the game. However when using a mouse (in the DOS and Amiga versions), the full names of the spells would appear in a list to choose from.

Combat is round-based and abstract, described in text rather than shown graphically; there is no notion of moving characters around on a map during combat. Cash and experience points are distributed evenly to all surviving party members after a particular encounter is won
Critical reception

The game was reviewed in 1986 in Dragon #116 by Hartley and Pattie Lesser in "The Role of Computers" column. The reviewers rated the game well, concluding that "Bard’s Tale, a game of high adventure ... is one we recommend for your software library."[2] The game was revisited in Dragon #120.[3] In a subsequent column, the reviewers gave the game 5 out of 5 stars.[4]

The ZX Spectrum version of The Bard's Tale, released in 1988,[5] was favorably received. CRASH said that "the Skara Brae environment is so complex and involves so many different factors that it's hard not to get completely enthralled in your quest" and rated it at 86%.[6] Sinclair User rated it at 89%, but noted that it would not appeal to general gameplayers, saying that "The Bard's Tale will enthrall diehard pixie fans [...] but there's too much text, and not enough graphics and animation, to convert the uncommitted."[7] Your Sinclair were similarly positive about the game, rating it

The Bard's Tale was both a best-seller and a critical success, and produced three official sequels:

* The Bard's Tale II: The Destiny Knight
* The Bard's Tale III: Thief of Fate
* The Bard's Tale Construction Set

A compilation of all three The Bard's Tale games, entitled The Bard's Tale Trilogy, was released for DOS by Electronic Arts in 1990.

According to Bill Heineman (programmer of The Bard's Tale III) the name of the overall series was to be Tales of the Unknown, and the three games were to be entitled The Bard's Tale, The Archmage's Tale, and The Thief's Tale. This is supported by the cover art of the original Bard's Tale release, which proclaimed the game as "Tales of the Unknown, Volume I." However, the immense popularity of the first game prompted Electronic Arts to re-brand the series under the more well-known name.[9]

In 2003, Brian Fargo (who created maps for the first two Bard's Tale games and directed the third) left Interplay Entertainment and began a new game development company named InXile Entertainment. In 2004 they released their first game, also titled The Bard's Tale, an irreverent console-style top-down action game which pokes fun at traditional fantasy role-playing game tropes -- such as, for example, those found in the original Bard's Tale. It was not a sequel to the classic series, nor was it connected in any respect apart from the title. Although a legal loophole allowed InXile to use the Bard's Tale name and the company had evidently planned to incorporate more elements of the original games[10], Electronic Arts still owns the original trademarks for the Bard's Tale series itself, and InXile was not legally allowed to use any of the plot, characters or locations featured in the original trilogy

The game opens with a bored DeathSpank, the series protagonist. Having defeated all of his foes in the land, he decides to try on all six mystical Thongs of Virtue at once, and in doing so inadvertently creates an evil incarnation of himself, the AntiSpank. DeathSpank must then travel the land to destroy five of the six Thongs of Virtue in the Fires of Bacon. Once he is successful he can defeat the AntiSpank and bring peace to SpankTopia
Gameplay

The Baconing borrows much of its gameplay from the two previous titles in the DeathSpank series, DeathSpank, and DeathSpank: Thongs of Virtue. As with the previous games, this title is an action RPG. The game can also be played cooperatively, with the first player controlling DeathSpank and the second having a choice to control of four sidekicks.[2] Hothead Games addressed a concern from fans about fetch quests, a quest which involves retrieving an object for the person giving the player character the quest.[3] The player can now have the character execute a shield bash to push enemies away. This ability can also be used to reflect incoming arrows back toward enemies
Development and marketing

The Baconing was announced on May 25, 2011 for the Mac OS X, Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.[4] DeathSpank was dropped from the game's title, though it is a continuation of the DeathSpank series. Producer Mike Inglehart stated "This new title isn't DeathSpank 3 or DeathSpank: The Baconing, instead it should be thought of as The Baconing." Inglehart elaborated by saying that "this is a standalone experience that will appeal to fans of the DeathSpank character, but also to gamers everywhere who love unique and engaging video games."[5] Inglehart also clarified that the DeathSpank prefix was not removed due to copyright or trademark issues.[5]

To promote the game Hothead Games ran an Ask DeathSpank questionnaire on game's official website. Fans could submit their questions to be answered by the game's protagonist.[6] It was released on August 30, 2011 on the PlayStation 3 as part of the PSN Play promotion on the PlayStation Network.[7] The Mac OS X, Microsoft Windows and Xbox 360 versions were released on August 31, 2011

Ghost Master

Ghost Master (known as Ghost Master: The Gravenville Chronicles on the Xbox and Playstation 2) is a puzzle/strategy game for the PC. It is among a small selection of games, for more see below, that put the player in the role of the enemy. In this case, the player assumes the role of a Ghost Master, a bureaucratic spirit tasked to perform certain duties. While the bulk of a Ghost Master's duties consist of hauntings, a Ghost Master may also be "called in" to increase belief in the supernatural, avenge deaths, and conscript renegade ghosts. Because a Ghost Master cannot directly interfere in the world of mortals, he is given a team of subordinate ghosts to do so. When not haunting, the Ghost Master is responsible for the training of the ghosts under his command

In all but a few levels of Ghost Master, the goal of the game is to cause all mortals to flee the area in fear or succumb to madness. Ghost Master plays similarly to a real-time strategy game. The player first chooses the ghosts he wants to field in the level.

The player cannot field every ghost in every place. Each ghost has one or two types of objects (or "fetters") it can be bound to. For example, a ghost who died during a robbery could only be bound to a "Murder Fetter," whereas a water spirit can only be bound to a bath, sink, or a simple puddle of water.

Another limiting factor is "Plasm". This numerical resource dictates which abilities a ghost can use. As a human becomes frightened, Plasm is generated. With more Plasm, stronger abilities (and more ghosts) can be fielded at any one time.

Once the objective(s) for a level has been completed, the game rates the player's progress. Many factors are considered, including time, amount of impact on the mortals, and how many mortals fled. If the player is able to complete the mission fairly quickly, there is a multiplier added to the final score. This score determines the amount of "Gold Plasm" given to the player, which is used to add more skills to ghosts.

The game ends with a cliffhanger, with the Ghostbreakers bringing in a bomb that would completely erase supernatural presence in the city where the game takes place. Because of the lack of a sequel, a bonus level was released for fans, which provided some closure. However, the bonus level is only available for the UK version of the game and was not released for the US version.

The bonus level is included in the Steam and Good Old Games release of the game

metal slug 2

Metal Slug 2 free pc game full version download(メタルスラッグ 2?) is a run and gun video game for the Neo-Geo console/arcade platform created by SNK. It was released in 1998 for the MVS arcade platform and is the sequel to the popular Metal Slug. It is the second title in the Metal Slug series. The game was later re-released in a slightly modified/remixed form as Metal Slug X. It was re-released for the Wii's Virtual Console in North America on December 1, 2008 at a cost of 900 Wii Points
Story

General Morden, the antagonist from the first game is back once more with his army, bent on taking over the world. It is up to the Peregrine Falcon squad, who are now joined by two new characters: Eri Kasamoto and Fiolina Germi of the Sparrows Intelligence Unit, to save the day.

As the levels unfold, it turns out that Morden has allied with Martians to help facilitate his plans. In the final level of the game, the tables are turned when Morden comes under attack and is betrayed by his Martian allies and taken prisoner by them. An ad-hoc alliance is formed between the Peregrine Falcon squad and General Morden's army to combat the greater alien threat. After a long battle, they succeed in defeating the Martians' Mothership, driving them off the Earth. Morden seems to have fallen from the ship, strapped to a solid iron plate, only wearing his eyepatch, beret, and pink boxer shorts. While his soldiers celebrate, the plate loses its balance and crushes
Vehicles and weapons
One of the new weapons introduced, the Laser, being used on the Mars People.

Metal Slug 2 added new weapons to the player's arsenal. A single shot from the Laser is capable of killing a column of infantry, and sustained fire quickly destroys vehicles. Fire Bombs found in the second level help to clear away mummies. Armor Piercing Shells give the Metal Slug cannon shells that only fire straight when engaging enemy vehicles.

The game also included more fighting vehicles. Though just as susceptible to enemy fire as the Metal Slug, these vehicles provided alternate modes of transportation, and advantages associated with each.

* The Camel Slug is simply a Vulcan cannon mounted onto a camel. The rider is elevated and still vulnerable to enemy fire, but has improved movement. (Using the Suicide Attack does not cause the Camel Slug to explode, unlike its sister vehicles.)
* To help fight a boss that crawls up a tower, the Slugnoid armored frame is capable of leaping to great heights. Its cannon is pointed downward, to assail the enemy below. Twin Vulcan cannons provide plenty of fire, but are stripped with each hit the Slugnoid takes.
* The Slug Flyer is a VTOL jet fighter. It fires powerful air-to-air missiles at its targets, and its Vulcan Cannon is designed to fire upon forward targets. Another player can "wing-walk", or ride on top of the plane. It's suicide attack allows it to eject the player and dive to the ground, allowing it to explode and cause damage to enemies

Wasteland Angel

Bummer, World War III happened and killed most of the world's population. The ones that got toasted were the lucky ones. Survivors live in constant fear of being murdered or enslaved by violent gangs, renegade military units and, of course; mutants.

Outfitted with a heavily armored car, unlimited firepower and a thirst for vengeance, our Heroine - the Wasteland Angel roams the radioactive wastes, travelling from one God-forsaken town to the next, protecting survivors from being enslaved. She's on a mission, to defend those that can't defend themselves.

Wasteland Angel is a nostalgic throw-back to the era of vintage arcade shooters where players fend off waves of enemies and ultimately face-off against epic end-level bosses. From a top-down isometric view, players pilot the Wasteland Angel's overpowered vehicle as its dual machine guns cut a swath across the terrain. SpellForce 2: Shadow Wars

Spellforce 2: Shadow Wars  free  pc game full version download is a combination Real-time strategy and RPG game created by German game developers Phenomic as a sequel to their 2003 release SpellForce: The Order of Dawn and its two expansions (Spellforce: The Breath of Winter and Spellforce: Shadow of the Phoenix). Spellforce 2: Shadow Wars has been followed by the expansion Spellforce 2: Dragon Storm.

JoWood Productions announced a second expansion - Spellforce 2: Faith in Destiny in May 2009

Gameplay

The Spellforce game series has been one of the few attempts to fuse role-playing game (RPG) and real-time strategy (RTS) elements. Other games that have attempted to integrate the two genres include Dungeons & Dragons: Dragonshard and Warcraft 3.

The RPG aspects of Spellforce 2 parallel games such as Diablo, Diablo II, and Sacred for both character development and skill trees, equipment customization, and top-down isometric viewing. However the capacity to control multiple heroes often makes the gameplay similar to that found in the Baldur's Gate or Neverwinter Nights PC games.

The RTS aspects of Spellforce 2 mirror the Warcraft fantasy RTS games. This includes the ability to control several separate factions such as "the Realm" (humans/elves/dwarves), "the Pact" (dark elves/gargoyles/shadows) and "the Clans" (orcs/trolls/barbarians). Each faction has its own individual troop and building types.

Spellforce 2 has several gaming modes, including Campaign play (which is expositional), Skirmish mode (which almost purely RTS), and Free Play (similar to Campaign play, but without an overarching plot). It can also be played co-operatively or competitively in multiplayer mode.

Only Campaign play allows the user to save the game

Tactics

The tactics for Spellforce are common to those used to successfully complete other RPG and RTS games.

RPG character development requires a player to obtain experience as well as high-quality armour and weapons. In campaign play these rewards are maximized by completing "optional" side-quests.

RTS sections usually involve building a camp, most often defended by RPG characters in its infancy. Then it typically involves marshalling the maximum number of troops to a point of conflict. While army composition does matter, unit micromanagement does not appear to be a major factor in RTS success
Game statistics

You can control up to 6 characters including your avatar and will also have the opportunity to be accompanied by one or more NPCs. Your main character, or avatar, can get to level 30, while your party members can only get to level 24
Plot

The main character controlled by the player is a Shaikan, or a character who has the blood of the dragon Ur. This dragon blood allows resurrection of oneself and followers, as well as the ability to summon followers instantly to one's side.

As the avatar returns to the Shaikan fortress, he/she finds that small groups of dark elves have already started attacking. In a desperate attempt to save those caught off guard, the Shaikan enlists the help of the humans at a nearby outpost. After buying his/her people a chance to retreat, the Shaikan's patron Ur sends the avatar off to warn and unite the forces of light, the humans, dwarves and elves to battle with the help of a dark elf heroine, Nightsong. The Avatar travels to Norimar who's leader is Baron Ordbragndt to convince him to help the Shaikan, however he does not feel he is threatened but decides to help when news arrives that the dark elves are attacking. The Avatar presses through the advancing elves and sounds the Horn of Norimar a device fashioned by the dwarves which causes the pass to collapse and block the Dark elf advance. The Avatar returns to the Baron and then leaves for Sevenkeeps sealing the vault of the undead and passing through rushwater downs to deliver supplies and free them from a siege by the forces of the clans. However upon arriving at sevenkeeps King Ulf arrogantly states that the dark elves are not a threat and gives the avatar the westguard a neglected piece of land that no one has found useful, the avatar and nightsong are angry that Falmar backs up the king by decide that since king Ulf wont help them they will acquire the help of the Dwarves of Underhall and the Elves of Dun Mora.. However to get to Underhall they need the ambassadors permission the avatar acquires a special potion which revives the dwarven ambassador after he collapses after drinking grief stricken when he cannot return home and gain Jared in the process who catches the plague but is revived by the avatars blood and pledges to fight for him. The Avatar then helps the dwarves of Underhall reclaim their mines from an evil sorcerer and a frost witch, thus gaining the alliance of the dwarves. The Avatar's party then heads to Dun Mora, the home of the elves where they meet up with their sister Shae, an elemental mage. The party gains an audience with the queen who informs them that the elves are under the spell of several ghosts and that every night they are assailed by daemons. The avatar agrees to help the elves and they destroy the daemon army and their gateways to Barga Gor. Securing the alliance of the elves, the Avatar then heads for the Clans fortress of the Needle where they defeat a massive army of orcs, trolls and barbarians. They then make their way to the besieged Shaikan fortress and with the aid of the Realms, they defeat the army of the Pact but they are too late as a massive daemon had devoured most of the shaikan and the fortress is in ruins. The Realms refuse to lend aid in the Avatar's quest for revenge and so the Avatar turns to the Clans for help, thus beginning the 2nd act of the story

War on Terror

War on Terror free pc game full version download  The Boardgame is a satirical, strategic board game, produced and published in 2006 by TerrorBull Games. War on Terror was originally conceived back in 2003 by Andy Tompkins and Andrew Sheerin, two friends based in Cambridge, England. The initial inspiration for the game came from the imminent Invasion of Iraq but, as a whole, was intended as a reaction and challenge to the counter-productive pursuit[1] of the wider War on Terror. In 2005, Sheerin and Tompkins founded TerrorBull Games and gathered enough financial support from a mixture of friends and acquaintances to put War on Terror into production.

Widespread notoriety has meant the game has had a colourful and, at times, troubled history. Its initial release was met with a barrage of criticism, particularly from the tabloid press. Other businesses refused to be associated with the game and it was also banned from a number of industry fairs around the world. The British police even confiscated it at one point (see Controversy further down). More recently, however, opinion has turned around and War on Terror is now praised by various highly-respected institutions and individuals, among them Amnesty International and John Pilger (see Cultural Impact - Education below).

The gameplay has been likened to a cross between Risk, Diplomacy, Monopoly and Settlers of Catan. Like a number of war board games, the basic goal is to dominate the entire world (or "liberate" in the parlance of the game itself). However, the scope of War on Terror stretches to cover all aspects of war-time politics, not just battlefield tactics. The creators of War on Terror have correspondingly claimed it is the most realistic war simulation around

Concept

War on Terror, The Boardgame can be described as a Risk-like war board game inspired by modern day imperialism and geopolitics. In terms of board game style, it is a mixture of both European and American approaches - utilising elements of chance and chaos as well as strategy and player interactions.

Starting with a tiny presence on the map, each player takes on the role of a budding empire, intent on "liberating" (dominating) countries and continents, controlling oil production and building cities to win the game. An empire controls a region when it has a development there: a village, a town or a city. To expand, an empire can build developments at the border of its current empire if the regions there are unoccupied. Much of the time this will involve some fighting. There are two primary ways to interfere with other empires: fighting wars against them or funding terrorist units in the hope of making them attack your opponent. The game play is essentially card-driven - including the aforementioned warring and terrorist attack. Players obtain two such cards every turn. Additional cards can also be bought using money, which is obtained from oil. Oil is randomly spread out across the map and varies from game to game. An important issue is that when terrorists are no longer dormant and leave the training camp, they act outside the control of the empire which initially funded them, and can turn on that empire if triggered by an opposing empire or the terrorist player. An in-game twist is that defeated players are not out of the game - they become the "terrorist" players, and can still influence the result and perhaps even win. It is also possible to join the terrorist side voluntarily. An important aspect of the game centres around diplomacy and off-board negotiations and dealings. A 'secret message pad' is provided to this end and sees heavy use in a typical game.

An iconic part of the game is the "Axis of Evil": a spinner in the centre of the board which determines which player is "evil" - that player must then wear the Evil balaclava and gets two terrorist cards per turn. Other empires also have a financial incentive to fight wars against the evil empire.

The 'Evil Balaclava' itself has developed a life outside of and independent of the game - something the designers encourage with the Gallery of Evil - and was responsible for the police classifying the game as an offensive weapon (see below

Call of Juarez: The Cartel

Call of Juarez: The Cartel  free pc game full version download is a first-person shooter video game developed by Techland.[2] The game is part of the Call of Juarez western-themed video games, but is set in modern-day Los Angeles and Mexico as up to three players take the role of law enforcement agents.[3] Call of Juarez: The Cartel was demonstrated at Penny Arcade Expo East 2011 and is being developed for OnLive, Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. It was released on July 19, 2011 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and it will be released on September 13, 2011 on PC

Plot

On July 4, 2011, the offices of the Drug Enforcement Administration are bombed by unknown assailants. Assistant Deputy Director Shane Dickson enlists Ben McCall, along with FBI agent Kimberly Evans and DEA agent Eddie Guerra. to track down the culprits, with the Mendoza Cartel and Antonio Alvarez as prime suspects. She informs them of the late Patrick Stone, who was investigating the Cartel up until his death in the bombings. They are also tasked with protecting Stone's only daughter, Jessica, a key informant in the investigation, whom they place under witness protection. Kim reveals that the Cartel has been purchasing military-grade hardware from an unknown source.

The trio proceeds to strike at the Cartel through their distributors—domestic street gangs, such as the Araña and the Rolling 50’s. They burn cannabis fields, raid a gang house, disrupt a sex trafficking ring, and intercept a large shipment of cash following an extensive car chase and gunfight.

At Eddie's behest, the team decides to move Jessica to a different safe house across the city in a car driven by one Sergeant Dempsey. Almost immediately, they are intercepted by Cartel gangsters and chased along the freeway until their car is hit by a semi truck. Dempsey is killed, but the rest manage to escape in stolen transportation. Realizing that someone let slip their plans, they resolve to trust no one—not even each other—until their mission is complete.

Afterwards, they find a number for Stone's retired acquaintance, Kevin DonLeavy, who received a package upon his death. They arrange a meeting at the Panorama nightclub, but upon arrival Ben notices Alvarez among the crowd. After approaching her at the bar and handing her a key, DonLeavy is killed by a sniper, uttering only the words "Eagle Pass" before expiring. Jessica flees the scene in terror, with Alvarez in pursuit; despite their best efforts, the three are unable to find her afterwards.

Eddie and Kim learn that Jesús Mendoza, son of Cartel boss Juan Mendoza, is headed to Los Angeles in response to the stolen money delivery. Realizing that abducting Jesús would lead them to the Cartel's arms dealer and grant them a powerful bargaining chip, Eddie asks his street dealer, Hector, to tell Araña to mark anyone asking about the stolen cash, then convinces another dealer, Flaco, to contact Araña about the exact topic. Armed thugs promptly arrive and execute Flaco, and retreat to the El Dorado nightclub to inform their guest, unaware they are being followed; there, the agents fight through Araña gang members and chase down Jesús, stowing him into the trunk of their van.

Ben interrogates Jesús about the Cartel, learning that Alvarez has indeed captured Jessica, and that Jesús was to meet with Michael Duke, CEO of the bankrupt PMC Peacekeepers International, and the Cartel's contact for high-end weaponry; satisfied, they lock Jesús inside a development building.

The next day, the trio rendezvous with Duke in Jesús' stead, Eddie dressed as Jesús, Kim as his escort and Ben as "Harris", a weapons expert. However, Duke reveals Alvarez has arrived, as well; Alvarez recognizes them immediately, but sardonically plays along with their disguises. After a weapons demonstration and unexpectedly dangerous live-fire exercise, Duke rejects the Cartel's payment, and states his new price—Monteczuma's legendary treasure, The Gold of Jaurez, long since unearthed and relocated to the National Museum in Juarez City, Mexico.

That night, gangsters attack the team at their motel, demolishing the walls with a wrecking ball. Despite his multiple attempts at escape, the agents retrieve Jesús and bring him to the Mexican border in exchange for Jessica. However, as the two hostages pass, Alvarez's men assassinate them both
